Although the designs are the solo effort of decorator, Lakisha Corpening, our management team is dedicated to serving you and your dessert needs. We are centrally located in the Newport News area and service Hampton, Newport News, Norfolk, Smithfield, Portsmouth, Williamsburg and surrounding areas for your convenience.

Taste & See Cakery was founded by Lakisha Corpening in 2006, her cake designs are crafted to exceed the expectation of her clients.

“Taste & See Cakery was an idea that came about after finally discovering my personal gifts and talents. As a young child I was intrigued by what one could create out of sugar. A sense of awe took over and there sprung a curiosity of my own capabilities in this art. Upon realizing that cake decorating was something I really wanted to persue I enrolled in several courses, honed my skill and emerged myself in the world of dessert baking and decorating. "
